The Best Sunday ever
The day started out as a normal day, getting up, eating, brushing my teeth, and taking a shower. Today was Sunday, I was going fishing with my grandpa. He showed up at my house at 9 am, ready to go fishing with his pole and beer. After he said hi to everybody, then he said that it was time to go, so we went. I got my pole, a chair and my secret bait, pumpkin spice fake worm bait. When we got down to the pond, I put the chair in the spot that he wanted to fish, and he started fishing. We kept catching 2 pound bluegill and 3 pound crappie. Then we did not catch anything for a while so after a little longer he said “I am done. Do you want to go?” I said, “Yes.”
So, we went back to the house. After he left, I went back down to fish again, but my grandpa forgot his pole so I wanted to try it. I took it down to the pond, still using my pumpkin spice worms after about 10 minutes, I was tired and hot but at that moment, I casted, started relling in, and I got a hit so I yanked up and I just thought I had a nice size crappie on the line but I forgot I was using my grandpas pole and I did not know what it felt like so I was reeling in and I saw I had hooked a bass as it jumped in the air so I kept reeling in when I got it close i got it caught up in the weeds so I took my shoes off and get in the water and had to pull it out of the water. After I got out of the water I grabbed it and picked it up by the lip and held it up in the air and shouted “Holy $#!%.”
After that I saw a styrofoam container so I filled it up with water and put the bass in after a did that I sprinted to the house to get a bucket when I came back to the pond I thought the bass would of broke it but luckily it did not break so I filled the bucket up with water and put the fish in the bucket and sprinted to see if wayne my neighbor was home so I could show him but his wife answered the door I asked if he was home she said no and she said what is going on i said you have to see this fish I caught so she got her phone and came with her dog buzz when we got there she said dude that is huge and then she took a picture and sent it to my mom then she went back home after that I kissed the fish and put him back in the water and went home. That was the best Sunday ever.
