Life Lessons From Volleyball

All I need to know about life I learned from volleyball. How to be a good teammate, how to stay positive, and the best way to take out your anger or stress. In volleyball I learned to cheer after every point, so my team stays hype. I learned to encourage others. I learned that it takes every player on the court to win, not just yourself. After all, there’s no “I” in team. I learned when to jump, run, when to be mad, and when to be happy all at the right times from volleyball. I learned to just “shake it off” after I make a mistake. Volleyball is not only a really fun sport, but also one big life lesson.

This writing is inspired by "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" by Rober Furghum. I have played volleyball for a long time now and I feel that it makes me a better person the more I play. I would encourage both boys and girls to try it out sometime, it's a lot of fun.
