The starting line
THE STARTING LINE
BY KARI HELEY
You’re standing there at the starting line waiting for the gun to go off. Your friends are counting on you to get to the finish line. You’re standing there with 5 different people of the ten different teams there. You look left and right at your friends they say you can do this. You say I can do this and I’m tough. You start warming up your heat is come up so the group in front of you goes. You’re scared out of your mind. Then the gun person says runners to your mark you say good luck to the people you are running with. You get in running position then you hear the gun go off. You run like the wind heart beating, feet running, hair flying, and arms flying Friends yelling crowd cheering. You’re thinking of how cool it would be to win. When you get to the finish line you fall to the ground. Your friends run up to you saying you won the race. The other team players you raced say good job.
