Summary:

In Torino, Italy WW2 rages. Ettore works at the Mirafiore Fiat plant which is a target for allied bombing because of ball-bearing production. He meets a German Major who turns out to be a good person although he is met with apprehension by the community. However, the allies are storming the gates and it is becoming extremely dangerous for the German Major.
