Summary:

Adeline is girl who is shy and intelligent. Her summer was terrible since her dad is in the hospital due to a car accident. But her first day of high school is nothing like she expected either. She is late for the first time and gets humiliated on the school bus. But that is the least of her problems. She feels a spirit nearby that makes her react differently. She gets herself and her best friend, Lucy into trouble when she stands up to her all-time enemy, Alice. The pride that Adeline felt doesn't last when she and Lucy have a fight afterwards, leaving Adeline running into the woods.
