Summary:

Simon and his friends; Maxis, Francis, and James, all go to a haunted house. When they go into the house one of Simon friends finds a secret door and they go down into the door. Simon follows and the other two stay up in the house while Simon and the friend go down in the basement. While they are down in the basement Simon's friend finds a book and give it to him. From there they go home...Everything is fine until the first nigh of October when things start heading South. That's when the disappearance starts. His friend James is the first one to go, after that happens Simon gets mad and tries to burn the book but it doesn't work. They come up with a plan and what ends up happening is they go back, and the stories take Maxis. While Maxis was being taken Simon was talking to the original owner of the book. She had been dead for over 100 years. He ends up getting the special pen from her but it ends up being to late. They he is on a mission to find his friends.
