Wooly Mammoth Fossils Found in Farmer’s Backyard
A wooly mammoth’s bones were found in an Iowa farmer’s backyard when he was berry-picking three years ago, according to WOI. John’s son saw what he thought was a ball. But John who is interested in archeology quickly realized that this was a bone of an ancient animal. The bone, about four feet long, was brought to a university for DNA extraction to clone the wooly mammoth. Many other bones from the same animal were also found behind his house by archaeologists. Scientists predict that John will continue to dig up more body parts of the monster.
