Does the characteristics we are born with have much more influence on us?
Quondam scientists proved that characteristics we are born with and experiences in our lives are the elements which affect our personality and development. Recently, a research has shown that inborn features have much more influence on our identity and growth in the future. From my point of view, it is more convincing to believe events which we may encounter is more influential to us. In this essay, I shall justify my choice.
Education, which is one of the most important experiences in our lives, could impact our mindset. People always say the first teacher we ever get is our parents. I believe babies do not have any inherent badness. So why do bad people exist? The answer is crystal clear: they, to a large extent, have not received proper education and care from their parents or they are simply orphans. Those people would rather have hard feelings for the world and thus it may have affection on their character and development.
Apart from education, things which happen during work and at school can have a great influence on us. For example, A was bullied by B or a group of classmates. Then A would feel upset and lonely. This development is clearly not influenced by the personality we are born with. Therefore, I find people and event we may come across in lives is much more influencing than the gifted features we have.
By and large, it is reasonable that our genetic factors and interaction with things and people influence on people. But I do not think that genetic factors are the major affection since education and life experiences are much more powerful than the one mentioned above.
