Educator of the year
Mr. Jones
Jason Jones is a band director at my school. He is a loyal teacher and employee. He always has time for fun and goofing around. I think Jason Jones should be “educator of the year” because he is a kind, very talented, hilarious, and over all great guy.
This year we lost one of our band directors, which left us with only two teachers for four bands. Mr. Jones thought the only thing he could do is teach all of the bands and his leadership and being a good teacher made all the bands that much better and award winning. UIL is in a few days and I know we will get all ones because of Mr. Jones.
Last year when I was a freshman right before our marching band UIL at Aledo, our section leader told us that Mr. Jones used to work at another 4a school that would always go to state and get all ones at UIL. But one day he saw our school that had never gone to state, never got all ones at UIL, and a pay downgrade and decided to help out, if that not a true educator I don’t know what is. He was a rich man and took a huge pay grade just to be a good teacher.
Every single year since he took the job, wind ensemble, symphonic, and concert have all got all ones at UIL. When everybody walks in to our band hall they look at all the trophies and awards and smile because they know that without him almost none of them would be there. Mr. Jones is the best teacher I have ever had and I hope he stays at our school forever.
