A child crying in desperation one night
A mother who won’t show in the dying light
He holds his bear close, wanting to sleep
The darkness is huge, untamed and deep
He will wonder alone as a wolf with no pack
Never stopping in disparity of wicked attacks
He won’t show fear the true color of his eyes
Tattered as the house which he does despise
