La Recette De L’amour
The ingredients for
a most savory delight:
the succulent taste
of blueberry pie A'la Mode,
pillowy mounds of
whipped cream
layered atop the pie’s
flakey
buttery
crust,
made all the better
by a red-cherry peak.
But the most tantalizing flavor of all
is not on the menu.
While I gladly indulge in the
titillating acidity
of the juiciest and most luscious fruits,
it is your red-cherry
lips
that I am truly enamored with.
That flakey
buttery
crust
melts in my mouth
but it is your
flakey
buttery
words
that melt in my heart.
And those pillowy
whipped cream mountain ranges—
fluffy though they appear,
—are almost
jagged
when compared to
the silky smooth touch
of your supple fingertips.
A pinch of nutmeg,
dash of powdered cinnamon,
and a drizzle of molten dark chocolate;
all the ingredients for
a most savory delight.
A lover’s entanglement,
the breathlessness of yearning,
and a
cherry-red
kiss;
a concoction to satisfy
a sweetheart’s
sweet-tooth.
