The Things My Mind Can Do
Sometimes I step outside myself
And see the world anew
Reality means little
With the things my mind can do
Simple things extraordinary
Preciously cherished in hand
The quotidian no longer
Unappreciated and bland
And sometimes I imagine
Realms with strange, strange hues
Neon nights and pastel people
Filled with ocean blue
A reverie is covetted
They sneak in throughout the day
Fickle focus flies free
I'm transdimensional, what can I say?
And sometimes I indulge
In a book or two
But nothing can compare
To the things my mind can do
