A spoken word,
The fall of a tear.
Softly a name,
Whispered in my ear.
I know you are with me,
As often I hear,
The chime of a bell,
Its tone so clear.
The wind is your touch,
As you draw me near,
And when I close my eyes,
Your face appears.
But before me it wanes,
And soon, I fear,
Your image will be lost;
Washed away by the years…
