I Want To Believe
I want to believe he’s different
Different than all of the negativity
Mother has told me, stories still filled
With her anger
I want to know everything,
About him
Learn everything I can
For once I want to see him
Actually be in his presence
Even though he deserted her actually
I want to know about him
I have a mom who loves me cares for my well being
But I know there’s a piece missing in my heart
The man I’ve heard of
The one I want to believe
That was different
My true father
