A Two-faced Soul
Let me dance in the rain.
I’ll let down my curly mane.
Let me hide away in my room.
I’ll watch the drops race, and soak in the rainy gloom.
Let me see your face when you say my name.
I’ll place it nicely in a frame.
Let me turn when you look at me.
While you decide whether to love me or to flee.
I want to run; I want to stay.
I cleave to home; I dream of faraway.
How can I shriek for two different places?
How can a soul wear two faces?
