Sit, Stand, Silence
Sit, Stand, Silence
me stranded here
I don’t know where I am or where I'm from
You took me away
but I still fell into the silence you disliked
Your little “friends”
run around you screaming things from the wrecked relationships
you left behind
how could you stay after what you try to convince me of
You create a draft no one dares to capture
So the shock my face held when you gave me the finger
then continued to badmouth me
I stood there in shock at what you had become
while I fell to my knees
You continued laughing
I tried to stand
You pushed me back down
You are not innocent
You don’t get to
take me
down with you.

I wrote this sitting in a cemetery about someone in my family but with all of my poetry, I write in a way so that readers can interpret it in their own way.
