Even if there's a tiny tiny chance, isn't that worth going for it?

The battle’s in your hands now, but I would lay my armor down, if you said you’d rather love than fight.

You’d Stay With Me
We were two young kids

When we first met

I saw you across the playground

Kicking the ball as the sun sets

And then I saw myself laughing at you

For a little while

When my friend nudged me on the shoulder and said,

“Did you see the way he smiles

Which lights up his eyes”

Just like whom I’d wanna be with all my life

Then I grabbed the courage to go up and ask him

Do you know how every decision we ever made had led to us now

And he responded with,

“I can’t imagine how”

And unlike a hymn

I stood still

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

We grew closer day by day

Then one day

Just like the sand everything was swept away

But I still remember the songs we both wrote

But I still remember how we swore

That we would never grow apart

Now, it hurts like hell to grow older with a broken heart

And I still remember how you held my little finger

And vowed to me

That even if the world left

You’d stay with me

You’d stay with me

Can we go through all of it again?

Can we go as if nothing was strained?

Will you still collect my tears as if they’re rain

Then put them in little jars and label them as pain

Would you still drown in my thoughts with me

And just let things be

And then go over all our other memories

Just like you saved me

And then

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

You’d Stay With Me

This piece contains me and my friend whom I lost contact with due to some unforeseeable factor, although I have no idea where he is, I recently saw him through a mutual virtual and it was a lot to take in. To see somebody you'd grown up with for such a long time and then lose contact was still tolerable to me. But seeing him again and seeing that he might have forgotten me or the fear in me that he had moved on so away with his life and it stings a little, well a LOT to be honest. But I hope the best for him and nothing else. So, I'd like everyone going through the same to know, that as an experienced individual, you can pull away from your friends but never break apart. The process of growing apart has a beginning but never an end.
