Plastic Smiles
Plastic Smiles
 This room
 Is covered in plastic smiles
 Attempting to hide the truth
 And suffering you’ve caused them

 This room
 Is filled with remorse
For the boy around the corner
 Who killed himself yesterday
 His plastic smile
Led everyone to think he was ok
 He was labeled
 The loser, the freak
Not even called his own name
 And now he’s been labeled
 The depressed suicidal

 This room
 Is filled with meaningless labels
People aren’t meant to be labeled
 We are equal
Even though we aren’t treated that way

 Go ahead and poke fun
At the girl who sits alone
And fill this room with jokes
 That will drown her smile
 And melt away the plastic

 Go ahead and laugh
About how she talks and looks
 Just know
 That every time you do
 Her smile fades
 And when the plastic
 Completely dissolves
 Her world will end

"This will certify that the above work is completely original"
