Favorite Quote:
"Numquam finitur, donec vita finiatur."
- K. D'Angelo Alexander

Roses are green, grass is blue

I’m in the sky with diamonds,

What about you?

The walls are shrinking,

Ceiling’s closing in,

As I’m thinking,

“Does that bird have a grin?”

There are no birds,

Nothing of the kind

Just me, and my dog,

Then he started flying

I’m losing my head,

Just want this trip to end

One thing’s for certain:

I’m not doing this again

The author's comments:

This somewhat childish poem goes hand-in-hand with “Quiet Rooms.”

It is a satirical account of a person’s experience with psychedelic-drugs, specifically LSD.

I must give thanks to the Beatles’ for their song, “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,” for the inspiration of this poem. The pun of this poem is the title being “Voyages,” as the person depicted is experiencing a “trip.”
