the hill we climb
Bruised hit hurt is where I left off
for what he did to me is hard to describe all and all
the lies he spread left me in shambles
was the little bit of joy worth it all in the end
because he's happy and i am sad
maybe that's just who I am
I give off joy
but when will my bucket be full
that's all i ask for
you are happy but I am sad
is that worth it all in the end
because i'm finally getting color back
but all I can hear is your spiraling voice in my head
thinking what it is I could change to make you feel what you said the first day
my head is quieting but quiet isn't always peace is it
because I was struggling but for you the was no second thoughts
no im sorry
nothing but lies
that come out of your stupid mouth

I wrote this in ELA class. Our prompt was to have a line from Amanda Gorman famous speech. The line I chose was “Quiet isnt always peace”.
