Hidden In The Crowd.
People-watching at my table
Always with my purple hat and iPod
I close my eyes now feeling stable
 Always unnoticed thanks to God

 Destined to be alone
Just a useless thing you drop behind
 I would remain unknown
 Nothing could change my mind

But then I see you gliding towards me
I watch you, unsure what to think
You just smile as if you have my heart along with the key
So close, I could hear our heartbeats in sync

But you walk past me and I wait for you to turn around
I look back and see the other girl, your girl smiling back
Mental tears flood my body completely without sound
Blocking my brain, running me off track

My eyes flash back open to life
Of course no one had noticed my little dream
Something pierces through my heart like a knife
 I do another mental scream

Silent tears fill my eyes and roll down my cheeks
I cry noiselessly as much as my eyes allowed
You could tell I was crying by my tear streaks
For I would always be just a stranger hidden in the crowd
