A Single Mother
She opened her eyes
5:30 is already here.
She gets dressed
And kisses her girls good-bye.
She leaves home
Knowing this is her only way.
She argues with her boss
Wishing things would change.
She puts three girls
Through school with no help.
She never tires
And never stops trying.
She never asks for help
Because in this she does not believe.
She keeps her head high
To show how strong she is.
Over and over everyday
She lives the life of a single mother.
