Heartbreaker
walked up to me
so confident and so bold
told me
so mean and so cold
I don’t wanna be with you
as I sobbed
your attitude remained calm and cool
you broke me heart
told me you never loved me
lied from the start
played me like a toy
the man that loved me
inside was a little boy
a little boy
who was so confused
all he knew
was how to abuse
it was the one thing
he did well
left invisible scars
no one could tell
everyone thought
I was a liar
with a heart
filled with
false hope and fake desire
known will ever know
the truth
of your
hidden abuse

powerful, it gets the point across too. Tells the short story of what a lot of people have gone through but may never admit it aloud.
