Graduation Poem
A lonely tear falls down
 My pale, shrunken face
 I push it away because
It is not the time or place

 Some of these people
That I have known so long
 Are all holding back tears
 And are staying so strong

 I, on the other hand,
 Can’t keep back the tears
Hard to believe I’m saying good-bye
 After all of these years

 Only good times
 Are remembered today
 As each one of us
 Part our different way

Now we are all moving on
 To bigger and better places
 Where we will all indeed
 Meet new and fresher faces

 Friendships may continue to last
While others will be torn apart
The jocks will still play sports
And the nerds will remain smart

Jocks, nerds and everyone in between
 I will certainly miss them all;
As the final hug is given,
 More tears begin to fall
