Because of you,
I cannot sleep,
for fear you haunt my dreams.
Because of you,
I wander restlessly.
My eyes open,
but not seeing.
You chase me,
and I run
Because of you,
I jump at a whisper,
and a shadow turns my face ashen.
Because of you,
I shrink and hide.
I compact,
and withdraw from you.
And you wonder what you did!
But I cannot tell you;
I'm too busy running.
