The Wicker
The wicker is running out,
and I see everything in a blink of an eye,
But even then there’s no doubt,
all that’s left is a sigh,
One last breath,
says it all,
everything even death,
but I will never fall,
I see everything in black and white,
except for him,
he’s my knight,
now he’s about to dim,
Dim into a memory,
the best I’ve ever had,
I will never be sorry,
because my love was never a fad,
I hear a simple melody,
that awakens me inside,
to tell me my reality,
it’s mine to decide,
I can make the wicker grow,
or blow out the flame,
But even I must know,
there’s always an end to the game.
