Sitting Next To a Legend
Sitting Next To a Legend
Sitting on a bench
On a cloudy day
Watching the sky.
Leaning over I see
The paper of a genius,
A black-and-white masterpiece
If only I could borrow
The creativity of the man
Sitting next to me.
I hang on to his arm,
Hoping he will tell me something,
But he remains silent.
In my heart I know
I will never learn anything
From this-
A statue is all he is,
A piece of metal
Mimicking the real Robert Frost.
But still I wish
This legend could speak,
So I may hear his words.
This will certify that the above work is completely original.
