Not Who I Thought You Were

Please don’t do this to yourself.
The only thing I can do is beg and plead.
All these things, this addiction, this burden,
Is something that you do not need.
You may not listen to me,
Because that’s just you.
The way you are, I now see.
And I hate the view.
Everything has changed;
The past is now only a blur.
I wish it never happened.
You’re not who I thought you were…
