The Average American
My life is going nowhere
It’s going pretty fast
No way to help the world
Without money, food or gas
I wanted to go right
But am veering to the left
To seaweed shirts and ECO friendly shoes
Chanel perfume and Jimmy Choos
And schools where if you don’t have the shirts and the skirts, sorry, you lose
“Helping the world”
Cause that’s the trend these days
What’s gonna happen when the celebrities go back to the way they were
We will always follow
'Cause we all just wanna be big rock stars…
And live in hilltop houses driving 15 cars'
And I think, what does it feel like to be hungry
Really starving
There’s a lot of people who know how it feels
While I am curious to know
They never, ever want to feel it again
