He went to the hospital some time in December
That trip has become something we will always remember
The doctors took the test to give us an answer
The results came back they say he has cancer
Shocked in disbelief they say he’s in stage four
We waited for them to say there was a mistake but they said no more
The doctors say this is going to be a long and tough journey
But he never gave up faith never did he worry
We were all scared of what the chemo might do
But because he’s so strong and brave he pulled through
The doctors began to wonder what was going on with him
But really there was nothing he just gave God the glory not them
He didn’t sit and worry or say it’s not fair
Didn’t get angry or embarrassed when he lost all of his hair
He laughed and cheered up everyone who walked in his room
Not a moment of sorrow not a moment of gloom
He’s gone through two major brain surgeries this year
Says that God kept him and took away his fear
His body grew weak and he looked so tired
And in these time’s he lifted God even higher
I know at this time we’re hoping this journey will end
But Jesus is behind him he’s our dearest friend
