Daniel
At sixteen, today feels like forever
But a day without you consumes me like an eternity
Waiting on that one kiss, like a piece of candy to devour
Somehow you have become the better part on me
Once my world was black and white
But everyday you show me a different color
I never knew life could be so bright
And as my life changes around me
You remain constant
And your smile controls me as if I am never to break free
Like a prisoner trapped inside your eyes
I hide from the possibility of waking up without you
But your love always overcomes my cries
I always thought I was born with a hole in my heart
Just an empty, yearning space
But you gave me a whole new start
You provide the kind of love no one can ever replace
