Smiling Faces
Smiling faces
Plastered in time—
A snap shot in life
Warmth within my shallow heart
Memories of endless rehearsals
dedication
time cherished for so long
How hurt I felt
To be
Ripped away
Happiness gone
Departed I was
No longer allowed
An outsider
The ones who cared
Afraid to speak against
Gone in an instant
Perfect picture
no more.
Heart empty cold and bare.
Smiling faces
Who knew?
Who said it had to end this way?
Is this what was suppose to happen?
Is this my destiny?
Hurt I go conclusions, doors shutting.
A snap shot in time.
