Sunset by the Sea
went to the sea, did I
squatted in front of a castle
saw two red claws go by
that waved back for a moment
watched the lighthouse dim
so far away at the end
that bleam of light, oh very slim
flickered across the blue
the last of the rays
retreating under that rippling bed
streaked the sky with stunning grace
in colors of warm
warmth lingers and goes
leaving the navy shivering
with the hint of pale rose
shining upon the tide
and everything that was seen
truly dark and doubtful
with nothing to lean
on but the thumping inside
