Remembering Always
Locked into this picture,
Are memories of that hot, sunny day,
Just walking along with the view of the ocean,
Not having anything to say.
It was the view for the first time.
Walking behind him, all you could see
Was the love between them -
Love, as he holds the little boy closely on his shoulders.
The wind blowing just a little,
Our new family so happy,
Just laughing and talking, the love showing in the middle.
He walked between us all,
Not a care in the world,
Because all he could care about was that one, little boy.
Not letting go of the memories,
Not letting go of the love,
And most of all,
Not letting go of the view that will never fade.
