Time Has Changed
There are things between you and me
that may not be the same.
But we are in this together,
in this life that is a game.
You have your ways, and I have mine.
You need to realize that things are changing -
all the time.
The cost of living has gone up,
that’s just a fact.
I need help to afford a car -
one that will at least be intact.
From stuff I may wear
to things I may do,
you say you see me differently than you.
I wish you would see
that even though I love you,
you are different from me, too.
The thing is,
time has changed…
