Twilight Falls

Twilight falls and Dusk arrives.
Every light engulfed by the blanket of shade.
The sun snuffed out, the chariot of light falls
for now.
A great mirror of light rises, displaying its
craters and battle wounds.
The human eye not accustomed to what
owls and opossums find natural.
Darkness.
Not something itself, but a
lack of something: light.
