i could touch the moonlight
(but i'd rather lie by your side)
a touch is only a bittersweet escape
because eventually you're going to hurt me
(oh yes, you will.)
i've got a pocket full of forget-me-nots
and a shoebox of empty promises.
but then it's you
(oh yes, it's you)
once again.
you're my epidemic
but that doesn't stop me from trying.
you can break my heart.
& i'll just wait for the next guy to fix it
(repeat until satisfied)
