Bon Voyage
I feel more alone, when I'm with you,
Than I do, when I'm on my own,
I listen to your voice, and look into your eyes,
It feels like I'm looking at a stranger,
In a cheap disguise,
You hold your hand out,
asking for mine in return,
then with the other hand you wave good-bye,
then act astonished when I seem hurt,
I can't figure out your notions,
your reasons for you being here,
and your wishy-washy ways,
are only feeding my fears,
You're jumping to conclusions,
expecting me to jump on board,
but it's makes more sense,
to stay here on the shore,
Bon Voyage, my friend,
It's certainly been a ride,
And don't confuse a desire to hold your hand,
with me waving good-bye.
