The Lost Generation MAG

Oh why have we settled in the unquiet darkness,
where the noise of the silence overwhelms our hearts?
And we fall apart –
the sun sets and it rises –
we make shapes of ourselves no one can see.
Oh why are we lost in these tears
if we’ve forgotten how to cry?
If absence makes the heart grow fonder
can we hold on much longer?
We are burning in a drought of faith,
unnoticing as the stars are earnestly shining,
desperately bleeding light.
Oh how ironically hopeless
is every star’s forgotten fight,
for we are just uselessly drowning
under the weight,
under the honesty of the unspoken.
Oh the noise of the silence overwhelms our hearts.
I believe we are skillfully crafted
inexplicable accidents,
and our hero – the potter –
is too late.

Good enigmatic poem. I must note though that without compassion there would be no suffering.

Life sucks and is unfair. But when a melody dances in the wind, stop and enjoy the peacefulness.

this poem is amazing. your metaphors are astonishing. the pain sinks into your skin, and the noise of silence still echoes on my mind. I would like to know, what was your inspiration? It must have blown you away.

"Tact is, of course, only for those who lack the wit to possess sarcasm"

It is really well written and thoughtful on a level not many seem to reach, im curious though, is it autobiographical in some way or another?

This work truly had the power to move and chill to the bone, while maintaining a centre in the fierce debate of reality. Inspiration.

I think you and your readers might enjoy my work. It is only the work of a beginner, but I hope you have a read.

Thanks ;)
