The Dream

Afloat upon a whispering wind,
It lands upon a slumb’ring head.
The dream alights – a sleeper’s bread –
Reality to then rescind.
The wand’ring bird brings life and light
To a sleep so black and bleak;
Replacing dull with the unique
So to illuminate the night.
Overthrow the dark regime.
Close your eyes and greet the dream.
