i remember it was Spring
when we spoke that first time
i wasn’t a girl then
but cast from my prime
chilled to the bone
i stand alone.
each month passed
closer we grew
friends to the end
it was nothing new
chilled to the bone
i stand alone.
you told me secrets
no one else will know
and let me in
with a gentle Hello
chilled to the bone

then the time came
now we say our Goodbyes
we knew it wouldn’t be easy
i just wish it were lies
