Desperately Scared of perfection,
Desperately Scared of perfection,
I turn my head
Turning away from all you are to me,
Kiss my cheek instead.
For a kiss on the cheek means nothing,
Why does it suddenly mean more?
Inside that kiss is a shaky ski lift,
Unexpected kisses when I fell to your floor,
Arms wrapped around me as I wake,
Smiles recollecting the previous night
How only you can make me quiver and shake,
Voiceless ponderings wrung out with a stutter,
I have to get this out.
But how do I explain in words
The things behind my shakes and smiles
The mystery behind my loving eyes
Do I feel it?
Yes.
Can I tell you?
Never.
So I turn my head, kiss my cheek instead.
