Our Spot
We sit under the blue tarp that flaps in the wind
I smell the little fire you built
It reminds me of camping
I hear the whistle of the wind
The tree branches swaying back and forth
I feel heat from the fire against my face
The smoke strong and overwhelming
I hear the stream flowing against the little rocks
I look around
I see trees and the trail you made
This is my favorite spot
Because you made it
Just for you and me
As we stood underneath that waterfall
I heard the water slamming against the lake
Water mists us continuously
I look up at the admirable sky
Perfectly blue
Gigantic white clouds
To make characters of
The birds chirping their little songs
The lake goes on for miles
Reflecting the night sky with bright sparkly stars
Now that our spot is gone
The only memory I have
Is the lake
We stood there
Underneath that waterfall
In love
