In the few years passed
Its gone by so fast
Let's go back to the past
And provide some contrast

I found a girl that was beautiful and smart
In the end she tore me apart
I wish I knew from the start
That this girl would break my heart

When I look back on those years
All those nights of silent tears
When I had to stand up and face my fears
They gave me strength which perseveres

I find that poems that are written for school are the worst ones.  Even like the ones I write... A lot of them really aren't that good at all.  It could be better if you changed the rhyme scheme.  Personally I've never liked the aaaa bbbb cccc dddd etc. scheme
