You glance at me
And look away
Afraid that I may see
For fear that I will turn away
In spite, for you are
Waiting to Smile
The truth be told, that neither one
Can hold it in
Though you and I will not give up
Too afraid to show a glimpse
Another glance, another miss
And I am still
Waiting to Smile
And all at once
I burst in fear
My smile is from ear to ear
Your twinkling eyes wink at me
As I am no longer
Waiting to Smile
