As I sit at this desk
With a blank screen in front
The stupid line flashes
This is not what I want
I want a 14 line poem
Up there on the screen
About bright summer days
Or cones of ice-cream
I want it beautifully written
With good rhymes and all
I’d like my parents to read it
And they’d be enthralled
Though I wouldn’t want fame
Cause I would get none
I should really stop daydreaming
And get this done.
