The American Soldier

He stands tall and strong,
He liberates and confronts wrongs,
He fights for peace.
In a land far from home,
Not knowing where he roams,
He fights for peace.
Far away from loved ones,
Far from wives daughters and sons,
He fights for peace
He serves under the red white and blue,
Both for me and for you,
He fights for peace.
As he prays to God each night,
He knows that his fight is right,
He fights for peace.
And as each day is done,
He prays for the fallen ones,
Who fought for peace.
