The cadence of my heart
Strums at tune my skin won’t know.
It clings to every inch of me
Refusing to let go.
The piping of the melody,
Is the music to my ears.
It moves and dances inside of me
While wiping away all fears.
Now rhythm finds a moment
To capture all my soul;
When body and soul and mind collide
My inhibitions go.
The mix of all it drives me,
It moves my novice limbs,
Coaxing me to shine my soul,
And so the song begins.
