An ambassador sent with plenipotentiary valor
Enjoys the perks and façades of imaginary power.
And as he sits and he nods with understanding unmatched,
His enemy soothes him and then he does lap
At his palm, which is salty, (due to the tepid sweat);
Then we all start to love that which sane men detest.
