Ode TO Nightlights
My room is a prison
The Dark is everywhere
Black night encloses my small bubble
Slowly it scares me, the more i stare into it
Sometimes, it starts to move
My room is in a dungeon
I cherish what little light i have
Its slight blue hue stabs the dark
It keeps away what shouldn't be there
i can hear quiet noises.
My room is in a castle
Supernatural beings cling to the night
My little light keeps them away
Unseen things keep me awake
i softly cry to myself
They sometimes speak to me.
My room is in a dark kingdom
I hold onto my little nightlight
It makes me happy when nothing else does
The brightness keeps away everything bad
I see the light.
